Professional Background

Born in 1969, he studied physics at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) with semiconductors, ceramics and composite materials as major fields of study and law and economics as a minor fields of study. As a post-graduate he was a scientific assistant at the chair for plastics technology at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany), where he worked in the field of thermoplastics. He was trained to be a patent engineer in the Siemens AG, where he was primarily concerned with energy generation. He has been working as a self-employed patent attorney since 2004.
