Professional Background

Born in 1971, he studied physics at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) with solid-state physics (in particular: semiconductors and amorphous solids) and spectroscopic methods as major fields of study. After graduation he worked as a patent professional, followed by scientific activities at the University of Bayreuth and the Institut Chimie Physique des Materiaux Amorphes (Université de Paris-Sud, Orsay, France) in the field of amorphous solids. He has been working as a self-employed patent attorney since 2007.
